Santa and Mrs. Claus "Gaia Capitalists of the Year"
The big guy in the red suit and his eternally cheery partner deserve kudos for all their work and dedication, and it is thus our honor to select Santa and Mrs. Claus as our “Gaia Capitalists of the Year”. With a ho-ho-ho and a visual branding that Coca Cola can only dream of, the jolly St. Nicks have created the epitome of a profitable enterprise. Their clever public relations and centuries of free advertising are especially to be commended. Children love them dearly and perfectly sane adults are so enthusiastic that they dress up and pretend themselves to be Santa.
The Claus' data base management and gift delivery business has created jobs for an untold number of elves, providing a living to their families in the ideal company town. The work is steady and regular, with most months preparing for the busy season. During December, however, the spirit of Gaia Capitalism reigns bright and true as everyone pulls double-shifts in anticipation of the Great Event.

No matter how difficult things get, Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves always manage to pull it off. On deadline, too, albeit over budget. No matter how improbable the task appears – like getting the reindeer cleared with US Department of Homeland Security for international travel – they accomplish it efficiently and cheerfully.
The Claus Company doesn't discriminate against color or sex or class. Santa runs an equal opportunity organization. Indeed, anyone from every religion or any age or political persuasion can sit on his lap and ask for wishes to come true.
They are also committed to global green causes and dedicated to reducing the amount of carbons we release into the atmosphere. Their factories, it is reported, operate on some kind of renewable fairy dust and the reindeer run only on pure virgin biofuel.
Leaving Mrs. Claus behind to manage the home office, and using GoogleEarth and GPS to map his journey, Santa punctually sets out alone on just one night of the year to distribute his goods to people everywhere. At great physical risk to himself, he slides down all those chimneys bringing far more than presents and gifts. To people who don’t have much else this time of year, Santa delivers added value - hope, laughter and fun.
In return, we eagerly support his year-long multi-billion dollar industry. In the publishing biz we call it legs (no, not big, furry-booted ones). The trust and admiration of his customer base absolutely guarantees brand loyalty and profitable repeat business. We all want Santa to come back and visit us Christmas Eve. And, so he does. Year after year.
In humble recognition of this work and service we are proud to congratulate Santa and Mrs. Claus as our "Gaia Capitalists of the Year".
